How do Moonish tiles fit in odd spaces?

You can cut tiles to size and request additional magnets and steel from us separately. For custom installations email us at moonishco@gmail.com.

Can Moonish tiles be used in areas exposed to moisture such as bathrooms and kitchen backsplashes?

Moonish tiles are made from marine grade plywood that performs longer in humid conditions and resists delaminating and mold. They come with the front and sides finished with a carnauba based wax that repels water. However their magnetic backing is designed and best suited for decorative temporary use on walls (or above counters). For permanent installation in bathrooms, kitchen backsplashes or for use as flooring the tiles can be ordered without the backing and fully sealed. Consult a contractor for your specific application and finishes.

Can Moonish tiles be installed as flooring?

Marine plywood is more resistant than regular plywood for use as flooring and the carnauba based bowling alley wax provides a dirt, dust and water repelling final coat. However the magnetic backing is not recommended for floor installation. Consult a contractor for your specific application and finishes.

How long do the magnets last and what kind of adhesive is used?

Indefinitely unless exposed to intense heat (over 160 f) or to other magnets such as common fridge magnets. Premium acrylic adhesive

How do I care for Moonish tiles?

Dust with a soft, dry, all cotton cloth or clean with a light soap and water mixture or with Murphy's oil soap. Do not use polishes or oils. Gently buff the coating to a shine with a cotton cloth.
